The house & history
The rural house is divided
into 3 separate apartments, each with its own entrance and access to common areas.
The three apartments are joined by a staircase inside, which allows the
house to be rented as a single unit, or the whole house, so that you can enjoy the big hall in the basement. The common areas are a
220 m2 garden with a small swimming pool, relaxing hammocks,
two terraces; one in the sun and one in the shade of the big linden tree.
There are slides and a swing for the young ones.
History
In the 1920'ies the nearby castle Escornalbou was restored by the
diplomat Eduard Toda.
The stone carver "Joanet", who was working on the castle during
the restoration, was given a piece of land in L'Argentera by Eduard Toda.
Here he built Casa Argentera. In the balcony of the house, which is carved
in stone, you still see the beautiful work of this
craftsman.
